Our award-winning gouda originated over 800 years ago in Holland. During production, the curds are pressed twice to form a semi-soft cheese. It is different than domestic style gouda as it develops “eyes” while curing. It is a mild and buttery cheese with a slightly nutty flavor. It melts smoothly and is a great addition to mashed potatoes, casseroles, soups, sliced apples, and sandwiches. It is also great for cheese platters. Make sure to remove the rind before consuming.
